We had a wonderful feast today! The kids were very excited. Thank you so much for the donations you made to our class. We had a few grandmothers and parents that were here to help assemble all the costumes and plates of food.
Here are the pictures I took this morning. In some of the pictures you will see a small basket and a microphone. Each child said one thing they were thankful for and placed a cranberry in the basket while they did this. Some of the things they were thankful for were: Their families, electricity, toys, chairs to sit on, (The pilgrim children didn't have stools to sit on at the table. They served their parents.), food, and more.
Look at their happy faces!
Have a blessed Thanksgiving!

What a busy, but exciting month this has been. Some of the pictures I am attaching will show the kids preparing for our Thanksgiving feast. They loved making the costumes and are very excited to wear them at our feast on Monday.
Many pictures are of the kids reading each others small moment stories they wrote during writing workshop. They are proud of their work and love to share it!
Check back next week...I will have more Feast pictures for you to view!

It was a great day at Belmont! The weather was perfect for a walk to raise money for our school. We have a lot of "small moments" we will remember for many months. I'm attaching some pictures from our day. Look at all the smiles! Thanks for helping to raise money for our school!

I am attaching a newsletter today with some pictures of the kids on Johnny Appleseed Day. We cooked applesauce on Thursday and ate it this morning during snack time. It made me feel great when I heard many of the children say, "First grade applesauce tastes better than store applesauce." That was because it had a little of every kind of apple in it. Thanks for contributing to the special week.
